DIY aquaponic media guard (extra large media guard for aquaponic grow bed)

In this video I add lava rock to my large fiber glass grow bed. I also make a media guard to prevent the lava rock from going into the piping. This media guard is extra large because of the grow bed and I just wanted to have the space in there to operate. Plus it makes it easier to make a bell siphon. I could have gone with something smaller but i didn't.
