Containing China: The U.S.-Japan Military Alliance

The U.S.-Japan Military Alliance is old. Yet despite it findings its roots in containing the Soviet Union, since the collapse of the Soviet empire, the Alliance has been strengthened. The goal now is to contain China, but this comes at great cost to Japan itself.
