"How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Economic Collapse"

Well, I'm in a pickle .. the prognosticators are screaming 'get your money out of the banks, the sky is falling' figuratively, of course - and I'll admit, hearing news of a bank or two going under does sound a little spooky. I've decided to remove all drop shipping items from our website - those require that I pay for the product before I receive payment myself .. in theory, I could go bankrupt by getting too many orders for T shirts .. It never has been a concern, but I'm reminded of how many things are dependent on a functioning financial system. Physical products that we produce here at the nursery remain .. so trees, perennials and such are still there, and the prices are still good - I wind up spending about 1/3 of the cost of every order on shipping, but since I only do trips into town on Monday, there is usually enough time for payments to reach the bank before I have to pay freight.

A disaster is another kind of opportunity. I can't help it - recently, there seems to be a switch in my head that has been flipped on, and now everywhere I look, I see opportunities. That might be a cause for alarm ..
