Video discussion on why 20 round USGI magazines have an angled base. 30 round USGI magazines surprising to many have the same angled base. With the length and curve of a 30 round magazine it's not as noticeable as it is on a 20 round straight body magazine. If anti-tilt and self leveling followers existed or created during creation of these magazines, the profiles and shape might be different. The 20 round usgi straight body magazine really doesn't require or need an anti-tilt follower.
