Speaking at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Congress, President Vladimir Putin commented on the ‘unprecedented’ sanctions imposed on Moscow. Putin noted that the domestic economy is still strong, with local companies replacing those from the EU and US that left the Russian market. He also noted that while some of those businesses are now returning, the investments Moscow is injecting into the country will ‘bear fruit in the future’ and ‘will certainly be worth it.’
