Not only has he earned seven Top 40 UK singles, five or which have climbed all the way into the Top 10, but the video to his initial headline hit, “Taste (Make It Shake)” would rack up over 3 Million views on YouTube in just 11 days and transform him into a staple of the UK hip-hop game. Not bad for a college dropout who initially struggled to get his music career off the ground while working days at his grandfather’s business. And sure, these days he might have to battle against his fans’ pre-conceived notions of what his music “should” sound like after somewhat evolving out of his early grime roots, but hey – that’s one of those “good problems” to have – at least it means people care.
