French cleats that lock in place woodworking project

Creative idea for french cleats for tool storage and organization for your woodworking tools. A simple project DIY shop made locking mechanism will keep your cleats in place and help you get organized.

I made the cleats in the video with 5mm plywood which might be a little thin but I don’t think you’ll need more than ¼”. Unless you are hanging your table saw on the wall ¾” cleats are probably overkill. Having the tool bracket extend both above and below the cleat will make it even more stable.
