When a young actor agrees to appear in a commercial, her ideal life takes an absurd turn as she unexpectedly enters her character’s world.Similar to the classic, the tale follows a young actor whose ideal existence is turned upside down when she decides to appear in an advertisement and finds herself suddenly in her character’s world.

The actor discovers that she is living the character’s life exactly as it is in the screenplay, only this time, it is her reality.According to IMDb, 'Oh Belinda' depicts the story of a young actor's perfect life taking a madcap turn when she agrees to star in a commercial and suddenly gets transported to her character's world, in which she is a traditional woman with a husband and a family, something she frowned upon. She tries to find out what happened to her.

Serap, a contemporary and accomplished theatre performer, reading the script for her upcoming shampoo commercial shoot.

Her character, Mrs. Handan, is described in the screenplay as having a son and a daughter and being a superb homemaker since she prepares dolmas in the evening in addition to working full-time in a bank.

Serap finds the term offensive because she despises the conventional roles given to women, which include caring for children, cooking, and cleaning. Instead of the stereotyped role, she leads a free-spirited existence. However, she consents to participate in a recently introduced Belinda shampoo commercial.

Despite some concerns, the filming goes smoothly for the most part, but the director doesn’t like her acting when the scene when the shampoo is used appears.

He believes she is not owning the scenario and not getting the atmosphere. As a result, she decides to fully commit and immerse herself for the last shot, to the point that she becomes wholly aware of another life.

She now resembles the Belinda commercial role she was portraying, complete with a typical spouse and two children.

She searches for individuals from her past in a desperate attempt to return to it, but no matter what she does, not even her lover Suat can accept that she is Serap.
