Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

This is how we make Buttermilk Biscuits they are so light and fluffy, great for Breakfast with Butter and Jam or on the side with your Dinner.

Ingredients:
2 cups Flour,
1 tbsp Baking Powder,
1/4 tsp Baking Soda,
1 tsp Salt,
1 tsp Italian Seasoning (optional),
6 tbsp Butter (cold, small pieces),
1 cup Buttermilk (cold)

Combine Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Salt and Italian Seasoning, whisk well.
Cut cold Butter into the dry ingredients.
Add Buttermilk, stir until the dough comes together.
Dump out the dough onto a floured surface. Press the biscuit dough about 1" thick, fold in half, turn and press out again. Gently repeat a total of 6 folds.
Stamp out 8 Biscuits, using a 2,5" cutter.
Place in cake pan or baking Sheet and bake 14 - 16 Minutes or until golden.
