AC-to-DC Power Supply

Framework for simple AC-to-DC conversion power supply, many output voltage points between 2.2V high current power diode chain voltage regulator. Theoretically only the input/load determines max current/power, no over-current protection in the circuit itself, also dc-component removal from the input signal by the capacitor voltage-divider chain and the ac transformer. The C1 capacitor can be a variable capacitor trimmer to give an adjustable voltage range.
