How to make a Neck Rope for Bridleless Riding or Training your Horse | Tying a Matthew Walker Knot

My daughter is an avid horseback rider and has recently become interested in bridleless riding. She has requested that I make a neck rope she can use to ride bridleless. I'm making her neck rope from some 5/8" double braided rope. After determining the length I need to make, I used a Matther Walker knot and some super glue to secure the knot. While you can use other knots, I personally like the look of the Matthew Walker knot. Making a neck rope is really a simple project and can be a great gift for the Equestrian in your life.
