The reason liquor is forbidden in Islam
Liquor is forbidden in Islam because it can have a negative impact on one's health and welfare, and can cause social and moral damage in society.
In the Al-Quran, Allah SWT mentions that liquor has more disadvantages than benefits. In Surat Al-Baqarah verse 219, Allah SWT says: "They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say: "In both there are major sins and some benefits for humans, but the sins of both are greater than the benefits."
In addition, drinking can also influence a person's behavior by causing him to lose self-control and commit immoral acts or even crimes.
Therefore, Islam teaches to maintain the health, welfare and morality of a person and society by avoiding intoxicants and all forms of habits that can damage oneself and others.
