Spider gets captured and tortured in Avatar 2 Movie Scene

Spider informs them that "sometimes it's not so nice to remember who your father is" as they tease Kiri about who her real father could be as the scene changes to Quaritch's bedroom.

Although Quaritch kidnapped him, he is still Spider's father, hence Spider is reluctant to rebel too vehemently against him or let him die. This relationship is present throughout Avatar 2. What transpires between them is covered in more detail in our analysis of the conclusion.
