Why Did Payakan in Avatar: The Way of Water Live Alone?
Because he disobeyed the Tulkun ways and fought the whalers responsible for his mother's death, Payakan was ostracised in Avatar: The Way of Water. The Tulkun species didn't approve of any form of killing, even if it was done to defend other Tulkuns, so they left him to fend for himself.
