This past week USDC lost it's peg to $1 due to over $3 billion of reserves inside of Silicon Valley Bank vanishing. Silicon Valley Bank experienced a classic bank run where they lent out all deposits and when people came to withdraw their money it was all gone. This sent the crypto market into a panic as USDC fell below $0.90 but has recovered slightly. Fiat banks are going under as the crypto continues to get attacked from all angles, and they say crypto is too dangerous and risky. Oh the irony.
