Is not Preventing Bad as Bad as Doing Bad? |✝

Have you ever been in a position where if no one helped you something bad would happen, yet no one helped you? How about the other way around. Where you knew something bad would happen to someone, but you didn't do anything and could have? I'm pretty sure we've all been in situations like that. In the latter case we may be ashamed or feel justified to not help. How are those two scenarios different from the following ones? Someone doing something bad to you even though you did nothing to them and you doing something bad to someone else even though they did nothing to you? Is one more wrong than the other? Let me explain!
