Early models of the Cadillac Escalade were from GMC Yukon Denali, but were redesigned in 2002 to better suit Cadillac's luxury brand image. Today, the Escalade and Escalade EXT pick-ups are 2 of 3 Cadillac cars manufactured outside the United States. The Escalade ESV (from the Chevrolet Suburban) and Escalade EXT (from the Chevrolet Avalanche) were built in Silao, Mexico before being redesigned in 2006.
