NCL Pride of America, Hawaii Day 10: Disembarkation, Swap Shop, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Beach

We disembarked the #prideofamerica and it was truly an experience. Because the Pride of America is a smaller ship, one of the smallest in #norwegiancruiselines fleet, the elevators were packed! It took us almost 30 minutes to finally get in an elevator and head down to disembark. Once we were off the ship, there were taxi's and an area for Uber/Lyft pick up. The rideshare pick up was a further walk from the taxi line. We had our taxi driver bring up to #hertz at the Honolulu Airport to pick up our rental car. BEWARE: our final price on our meter jumped as we parked at the taxi loading area.

Rental car pick up was easy and off we went to the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. The Swap Meet goes around the ENTIRE stadium! We had no idea it was that big. My husband found some great University of Hawaii shirts at one local vendor. Most vendors are CASH ONLY at the Swap Meet.

After some shopping, we headed to Waikiki Beach to park our car at our hotel, the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. Our room wasn't ready quite yet, even though I had requested early check in, and we went out to explore. Our first stop was the Honolulu Zoo!

I am a huge lover of animals and love to support Association of Zoos and Aquarium accredited organizations. The Honolulu Zoo is the western-most AZA Zoo in the United States so we had to stop! We even became Zoo Members ($40 for an annual membership for two adults or $19 for an individual adult ticket).

Next, it was time for some local brews at Maui Brewing Company! We also stopped by their gift shop and brought home a few souvenirs.

On to lunch at the Cheeseburger in Paradise! Our Mai Tai and Planter's Punch were delicious followed by Travis' cheesburger and my coconut shrimp. We enjoyed our lunch so much we went back to Cheeseburger in Paradise our last morning for breakfast.

Finally our room was ready at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa! We had a King Ocean Front Guest room and our room looked exactly like their images on the website. It was very clean and the renovated rooms were beautiful.

After we settled in to our room, we headed across the street to the ocean and finally took a swim on Oahu. Next, it was time for our dinner reservation at Tiki's Grill and Bar with a special stop in at their Pop-Up Christmas Bar!! Tiki's food was wonderful!
