When they first discovered their passion for music, the brothers absorbed influences from acts like Tame Impala as well as Guns and Roses while drawing inspiration from aesthetically unique forces like Tyler the Creator and Blink-182. In point of fact, Blink-182 is Chris’ favorite band of all time, having listened to them almost every day from the time he was in the 6th Grade. Meanwhile, Mike’s favorites acts are Tenacious D, Finger Eleven and Slipknot. As the brothers grew older, their musical background provided them the encouragement they needed to get into the production side of things. Both brothers excelled in different areas – Mike at audio engineering and Chris at songwriting – but when they came together, they created something truly special.
