BEFORE shockingly losing his life in a tragic snowmobile accident, professional thrill-seeker and rally-car driver Ken Block was born on November 21st, 1967 in Long Beach, California. Shortly thereafter, he and his family moved to Escondido, California where he spent his childhood growing up on an avocado grove. After a brief attempt in his early adult life to become a professional snowboarder, Ken returned to Southern California and dedicated himself to something else entirely -- his passion for design. While attending San Diego Community College, Ken met his friend and future business partner, Damon Way, and the two would go onto form several clothing brands, including Droors Clothing in 1994, which they scraped together by investing $10,000 each.
