Being self-critical blocks your sense of achievement & happiness

My definition and experience of happiness is all about meaning making. You create goals. You create plans. You dream. In the past, I haven't felt a great deal of satisfaction when I achieved my goals. Now, I generally do.

I noticed self-criticism robs us of a lot of that satisfaction and happiness. I've replaced a lot of my self-critical thoughts. I've let go of a lot of expectations. I've forgiven myself for making mistakes.

The result is that I enjoy the process more, and I feel more satisfied when I achieve my goals.
