In March of 2005, Kevin Berthia's daughter had just been born, medical expenses were climbing, and for 22 years prior, he never talked about his pain.

He was too overwhelmed and wanted to end the pain. He decided to jump off the Golden Gate bridge. An understanding, respectful, and compassionate California Highway Patrol trooper talked him back to the other side.

8 years later, Trooper Briggs and Keven Berthia were reunited, and Berthia is an outspoken advocate of those law enforcement officers out there doing the right thing.
