Triple succotash chipotle red potato shepherds pie. Homestead kitchen favorites.
For this recipe you will need
A pound or so of clearance ground meat, beef, chicken, turkey, pork, venison, elk, etc:
1 can of any sort of veggies you like, Italian tomatoes, succotash like I’ve used, half a bag of frozen mystery veggies… doesn’t really matter add the veggies to the meat once it’s drained and let it simmer thick.
Handful of potatoes skin on (because I love skins in my mashed potatoes) some sort of liquid dairy (milk, cream, cream cheese, ranch, the potatoes don’t care) in this case I used a chipotle crème salsa, whole milk and half a stick of butter.
Throw all that in a pan and bake it for a while…. 2-3 smokes or a short cat nap.
Pull it out and eat it….. not like that you pervert we’re not felch queens here.
Extra ad ons can be cheese, croutons, jalapeños, French fried onions, you could even put some chopped pepperoni on top of it….
