List of Django Movie Trailers

This is a list of movie trailers of the Spaghetti Western character Django. There are only two official entries in the Django film series: Django (1966) and Django Strikes Again (1987).

The title character was created by Italian writer-director Sergio Corbucci. As with Sergio Leone's "Fistful of Dollars" trilogy (1964-1966), Corbucci was heavily influenced by Akira Kurosawa's "Yojimbo" (1961). Django was a major box office success upon its release and is widely considered one of the best Spaghetti Western films of all time.

Like the Sartana film series, a number of "unofficial" films were produced to capitalize on the character's popularity. There were over 30 "sequels" released between 1966 and 1972, however, Django often did not appear or was significantly different to the original film character. Spaghetti Westerns were often re-titled and marketed to select countries as Django films, particularly in Germany, despite having little or no connection to the series. But while the low-budget Sartana sequels used lesser-known actors, Django was portrayed by a number of established Spaghetti Western stars such as Anthony Steffen, Tomas Milian and Terence Hill. These films became popular in their own right.
