SERENADING TO MICHIKO, film is a posthumous tribute, an intimate portrait of the legendary classical guitar virtuoso Nato Lima, by the duo Los Indios Tabajaras, who, in a captivating way, himself narrates to us his incredible story. From his childhood in the jungle, in the northeast of Brazil, following the ups and downs of his career to his great successes.

THE SERIEs will have 9 episodes. Each one corresponds to a track from the album Serenading to Michiko. The only solo album of his career of over 70 years and his last work. Nato Lima passed away on November 15, 2009.

The life story of Nato Lima, the Mussapere Indian, is, at the same time, the story of the guitar and instrumental music, as they transited from the popular pop universe in the 50s and 60s with hits like Maria Elena, reaching second place in BILLBOARD'S Hit Wall. The chords, and vibratos, enchanted not only musicians like Chet Atkins, Carlos Santana, Segovia, Duo Assad, Amanda Cook, but also filmmakers like Wong Kar-way and thousands of fans around the world.

The unique musical style, combines the technique of playing at the same time with pick and fingering, tuning the two guitars and shortening the arm of your solo guitar, increasing the number of frets. All this allowed the two guitars to reach the same notes of the piano. Thus, Bach, Chopin, and Bethoven's interpretations of classical works are considered by many to be the purest ever recorded. Perhaps this is the reason why they have gained fans in every generation for the past 70 years.
