The Mummy Strikes (1943)

In this story, Dr. Jordan, an Egyptologist, is found dead in front of King Tush's sarcophagus with a syringe nearby. His assistant, Ms. Hogan, is convicted for the murder due to her fingerprints being on the syringe. However, a professor at the museum contacts Clark Kent and presents a theory that Dr. Jordan was killed by a mummy's curse. He explains how King Tush's giant guards swore an oath to protect him in the afterlife, and Dr. Jordan attempted to bring them back to life using the Fluid of Life. When Dr. Jordan tried to open King Tush's sarcophagus, he invoked the curse, and the guards attacked Clark, Lois, and the professor. Clark becomes Superman, defeats the guards, and saves Lois and the professor from fire. Ms. Hogan is cleared of the murder charges, and when asked how she knew to be there, Lois replies, "My mummy done told me".
