The Secret to an Amazingly Blessed Life

The blessed one stands out from the crowd. Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

We can know a blessed joy in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. The greatest blessing of all is Salvation.

There’s a blessed separation. The blessed man takes a different path. A different position than the world.
We walk different
We stand different
We talk different

There's a different Walk - we have found the way of Life.

Where does the blessed man find pleasure?

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalm 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

The ungodly are against God. We aren’t led by the false counsel of the world, by futile unbelieving, worldly philosophy or a vain human viewpoint.

There’s a blessed security in Christ. Psalms 1:3-6 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

There’s crystal clear, fresh water here. Pure water. Flowing water. God’s gracious supply of His abundant grace.

In contrast, we notice the ungodly man… 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

The wind blows them. They are not grounded. They have no roots deep down - they are as chaff. As a tumble weed. They are not grounded.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The Blessed man is different from this wind driven chaff. They are no longer like this tumble weed, this rolling stone, this aimless pointless life with no purpose or hope. They are Firm, and Fruitful…

We are Planted - it speaks of: Stability, Strength, Growth. Our lives are Firmly planted in Christ… Colossians 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

The tree that is firmly planted gains…
Security
Strength
Foundation

Our life comes from Him. Our strength comes from Him.

The blessed man has a quality and strength - the source of their life - what comes out of their life.

The wind drives away the ungodly. They do not know the security. The blessed man is stedfast and unmoved, even though the fiercest storms may beat upon him.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

We can be spiritually rich and fruitful Christians. John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Fruit of the Spirit
Fruits of righteousness
Fruit unto holiness.

The way of the ungodly shall Perish; it ends in ruin, and loss.

God wants us to grow. To bear fruit… And God gives us a vitality. His leaf also will not wither.

There’s a true prosperity of being in His will. Living according to God’s purpose.

Sometimes He will prune us… in this maturing process. It’s all for our good. John 15:2 …Every branch that beareth fruit, he prunes it, that it may bring forth more fruit. “The fruitful life results from showers as well as sunshine.” When God puts his children in the furnace, He goes with them.

He’s taking us to a different level of maturity. We will grow in character and faith. Again, Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

God will help you grow, in every good work. The lemon tree is best recognised by its lemons. The orange tree is shown by its oranges. The Christian shows by the fruit of his or her life.

The Bible talks about fruit we bear as Christians…
Fruits worthy of repentance. Matthew 3:8
Fruit of holiness. "But now being made free from sin, and become servants of God, you have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life." (Romans 6:22)
Fruit of the Spirit. "Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control". (Galatians 5:22,23)
