Robert "Rat" Willard is a retired United States Navy admiral who last served as the 22nd Commander, U.S. Pacific Command from October 19, 2009 to March 9, 2012. He previously served as Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet from May 8, 2007, to September 25, 2009. Prior to that, he served as the 34th Vice Chief of Naval Operations from March 18, 2005, to April 2007. On March 9, 2012, Admiral Willard retired from the Navy after 39 years of service having flown the A-4, F-5, and F-14. Sandy "Jaws" Winnefeld is a retired US Navy admiral, fighter pilot, TOPGUN instructor, and captain of the nuclear carrier USS Enterprise who last served as the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Greg "Hollywood" Dishart is a retired U.S. Navy commander, TOPGUN instructor, and airline pilot. After leaving TOPGUN in 1986, he went on to fly the F-14 until he retired. He also flew the F-5 and A-4.

Pete "Horse" Caulk is a retired U.S. Navy commander, TOPGUN instructor, and airline pilot. After leaving TOPGUN in 1988, Horse went on to fly the F-14 until his retirement in 1994. He also flew the F-16, A-4, and F-5.

Dave "Bio" Baranek is a retired U.S. Navy commander, TOPGUN instructor, and F-14 Radar Intercept Officer. Bio left Topgun in 1987 and returned to an F-14 squadron. After several staff jobs he was selected to command Tomcat squadron VF-211 1997-98, then retired from the Navy in 1999. After the Navy he worked as a defense contractor in IT and then training and readiness. Bio has also written three books about his flying experiences. http://www.topgunbio.com/

Lynn "Secks" Seckinger is a retired Marine Corps lieutenant colonel. After TOPGUN, Secks went on to fly the F/A-18 and eventually commanded MAG-42 Detachment A at Cecil Field. He also co-authored the requirements document that resulted in the F/A-18E-F Super hornet. Secks also flew the A-4 , F-5, and F-4.
