A man in the USA has been arrested after he posted a video online showing him driving by a police vehicle and warning he will shoot the cops inside with an AK-47 gun if they pull him over.

The offender, identified as Vernon E. Kelson, 22, is facing charges after he posted the footage on his Instagram page, 'Getbackgan.Hank', at around 1 pm on Saturday, 25th February.

In the video, Kelson can be seen holding the riffle outside the passenger seat window of his moving car and yelling when he spots a vehicle of the Miami-Dade Police Department at the side of the road in Florida, USA.

He then warns what he will do on the video to the police officers inside the car by saying: "If they pull this bitch over, it's going to go down."

It is not believed the police officers in the car knew what he was doing as he was driving from behind, but detectives from the Miami-Dade Police department reportedly saw the video while monitoring social media activity.

They then uncovered the footage from a known account and linked Kelson to a previous investigation.

Kelson, who was arrested on Tuesday (28th February) is facing charges including written threats to kill or do bodily harm, displaying a firearm while committing a felony and carrying a concealed firearm.

The video, which Miami-Dade Police shared on their Facebook page, was seen more than 2,500 times in less than 24 hours.

Director Alfredo Freddy' Ramirez said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: "Law enforcement officers put on their uniforms every day and leave their homes not knowing if they will return.

"I will not tolerate anyone, in any way, to threaten my officers or anyone bearing the badge on their chest.

"I will make available all of the resources of the Miami-Dade Police Department to bring those individuals to justice."
