Chicken Chaap is a popular Bengali dish, and it is a spicy and flavorful chicken dish. Here's a recipe to make Chicken Chaap:

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken pieces
1 cup yogurt
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup fried onions
2-3 green chilies, slit
Salt to taste
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons ghee
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnishing)
Instructions:

In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, sugar, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to make a smooth paste.

Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Cover the bowl with a lid and marinate for at least 4 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator.

In a large pan, heat oil and ghee together over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and fry until browned on all sides.

Add 1 cup of water to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the gravy thickens.

Add fried onions and green chilies to the pan and cook for a few more minutes.

Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
