Crow pose, also known as Bakasana in Sanskrit, is a yoga pose that strengthens the arms, wrists, and core muscles while improving balance and focus. To perform crow pose:
Start in a squatting position with your feet hip-width apart, and place your hands flat on the ground in front of you, shoulder-width apart.
Slowly lift your hips up, bringing your weight forward onto your hands, and bend your elbows slightly.
Place your knees on the backs of your upper arms, just above the elbows.
Lean forward and lift your feet off the ground, balancing your weight on your hands and arms.
Keep your gaze forward, engage your core muscles, and hold the pose for a few breaths.
To come out of the pose, slowly lower your feet back to the ground, and come back to a squatting position.
Note: Crow pose requires a lot of upper body strength and core stability. If you are new to yoga, it is recommended to work on building strength in the arms and core through other poses before attempting crow pose.
