Seraphim are mentioned in the Book of Isaiah as heavenly beings that stand in the presence of God. They are described as having six wings and are said to cry out “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”

The purpose of the Seraphim is to serve as a messenger of God, to act as a mediator between God and man. In the Bible, they are described as being “burning with a fire” and possessing an “everlasting flame.” They are also said to have a special role in the heavenly court, where they act as guardians of the throne of God.

In addition to their duties in the heavenly court, the Seraphim are said to have a special ministry to the people of God, particularly those who are devoted to Him. For example, in Isaiah 6:7, we are told that the Seraphim “touched [Isaiah’s] lips” with a burning coal, symbolizing purification and forgiveness.

The Seraphim are a reminder of the holiness of God and of the need for man to be purified and cleansed in order to enter into His presence.
