It is Kowalski from Nebraska. Kowalski. What's on your mind? Kowalski thank you again for my birthday present. I cannot wait to crack open an ice-cold peeps-flavored Pepsi on Easter. Yeah for everyone that doesn't know Bradley's disgusting. I might do it, maybe I'll do a part, maybe do a vlog. Maybe I'll do a vlog review for free on ESVN. You should be happy Easter here's my peeps flavored Pepsi taste test. That's right Binder. It does not sound good. but thank you. Thank you. I really do appreciate it. yeah, no problem happy birthday so I was just going to give you guys a quick agricultural update on something that's kind of interesting. But first, like we're about six weeks away from the grain planting season beginning for the most part. It looks like everybody's gonna have a decent amount of moisture. We're looking a little bit better than last year. for the most part, prices have come down from their all-time high about a year ago. So that's really good. Unfortunately due to the increase in the interest rates from the FED which has inspired basically all other countries to increase their interest rates as well on the international markets, it's becoming more expensive to purchase grains. So for poorer Nations that import a lot of grain even though the cost has come down, it's actually harder to purchase the grain. so major food insecurity has gone from about 150 million to over 350 million. So this is one of those knock-on effects of the financialization of you know basic human needs. Right. Right. Now let's say you guys had seen that come up in your news feeds at all. but I thought that was pretty interesting and pretty bad. so that does sound bad. I hadn't seen that but. Yeah, so that's not good. But other than that production looks like it should be pretty decent this year all things considered. The fertilizer situation has improved a lot but it's probably still going to be manageable. I believe in the build-back better proposal which basically you know got shoehorned into the inflation reduction act a lot of money was set aside for the USDA to invest in fertilizer production facilities across the United States. and Canada has kind of followed our lead on that as well. so in about two to three years, it shouldn't matter what happens in Russia and Ukraine it looks like we'll just pick up the slack here. so that's good for the medium to long term. but if there's a major environmental catastrophe this year that could be problematic I believe the way the La Nina and El Nino Cycles are going we're expecting a pretty normal year.
