Crowds took to the streets of Paris to protest against the French government's new law on immigration. Migrant associations and work unions denounced the bill presented by the Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin.

According to local media, the so-called 'Darmanin law' would be the most restrictive rule on immigration ever passed in France. It would entail a complete reform of the asylum system and simplify deportations.
