Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky submarine of Pacific Fleet launches Kalibr cruise missile at coastal target

The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky diesel-electric submarine of the Pacific Fleet launched a Kalibr cruise missile from an underwater position as part of its combat training in the Sea of Japan.

◽️ The missile firing was carried out against a coastal target simulating a firing position of a mock enemy. Before the launch, the submarine surreptitiously occupied the area designated for firing.

◽️Kalibr missile successfully hit the designated target at Syurkum tactical training area located in Khabarovsk region. The range of fire was over 1,000 km.

◽️ The closing of the missile firing area was provided by the ships and vessels of the Pacific Fleet, as well as the aircraft and UAVs of the Naval Aviation.
