The Self-Sufficient Life And How To Live It - The Classic Back-To-Basics Guide To Going Off The Grid written by John Seymour is a terrific book with much in-depth information on a wide variety of subjects, with full color illustration, recipes, instructions, diagrams, and other information that is imperative to know and become familiar with, at least on a basic level, if you want to survive, thrive, and prosper if shtf or if you would just like a guide of how to homestead. Guns and ammo are not enough to have. You have to know how to take care of your physical needs, like eating, clothing, and hygene just to name a few, and it's just as impotant for anyone else that you may be with, and any animals you plan on taking care of.

I have always had a survival mentality, but even I have shortfalls and do not know everything (lol) jk. With this understanding, as a new homesteader, and no one from the surrounding community to ask, I sought information and found it in these books. I highly recommend all three books in this series for anybody that is looking for knowledge for homesteading, survival, or becomming more self-sufficient, for whatever reason...
