Thank you to all my subscribers and viewers! I truly appreciate you all. I can't believe we already surpassed 26,000 subscribers! Thank you!

This is my 21th filmed project, and it was also my first time turning Texas Ebony. This log had been laughing at me for several months before I decided to tackle it. It was bone dry and measured about 6x6x12 and probably weighed about 20 lbs. I was not mentally prepared for the fight this thing would require, and I spent probably more than 6 hours on the hollowing alone. I had to stop frequently to get my bearings, let the carbides cool down, and check that my lathe was still in one piece. It was quite the test of mental fortitude. I hope the process seems more relaxing in the video. It was certainly a difficult project. I also had one finial attempt fail because I turned the burl too thin, and neither CA glue nor epoxy would hold it together. Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@adamsen_woodcraft) will hopefully see some bloopers in an upcoming post.

Cheers to all and have a blessed day!
