THIS HOARD CAUGHT ON FIRE!!!

In this episode of Crime Scene Cleaning, we visit Ben Smith in Raleigh (North Carolina) as his team cleans up a gigantic hoard, one of the biggest Spaulding Decon has ever seen!

Here's the story... Ben received a call from the Gary, who is the brother-in-law of the hoarder. He and his wife hadn't been allowed in the home for several years and were shocked to see the condition of the home. The 2-story home was packed with mountains of garbage, with piles higher than 2 feet and a thick smell of ammonia from the 10 cats living there.

The sister-in-law's health was declining and is now living with Gary and his wife. Gary went back to the hoard to collect a few personal belongings but fell ill shortly after due to breathing in all the toxic particles and had to spend a few days in the hospital. Luckly, he's made a full recovery.

The adjustor refused to even go into the home for and evaluation, saying that in her 30 years of working, she'd never seen anything like this.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!! About a week before the job was supposed to start, the house caught on fire! Luckily the fire department managed to put out the fire before is spread to the other parts of the house. Now the master bedroom is completely destroyed, and the walls of the home are covered in soot.
