Born in Houston, Texas in 1988, but raised in Richmond, Virginia. I am the second-oldest of four children (3 boys + a baby sister) and my brothers and I were each 2 years apart. The three of us were all Eagle Scouts, and were all in the same fraternity at Hampden-Sydney College (founded by Patrick Henry in 1775, right after his famous speech). I graduated in 2010. I went back to school from 2012-2014 to get a masters in architecture, and have spent the past 17 years holding just about every position there is in construction and architecture.

My younger brother, Will, was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer in April 2013, and given 3 months to live. He died in February 2016. Eighteen months later-- a few months after I got married-- Graham was killed in that fateful boat crash on the Rappahannock River. Things only got stranger from there...
