‘Human suffering I’ve seen there will haunt me forever’ – Red Cross spokesperson on Yemen crisis
The International Committee of the Red Cross has said the Yemen crisis is going ‘from bad to worse,’ as the organization does not have enough money to fund its programs in the country.
For eight years, Yemen has been suffering a humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing conflict in the country, and now over 21 million of its citizens are in dire need of humanitarian aid, according to the Red Cross.
We spoke about the situation to Imene Trabelsi, the International Committee of the Red Cross spokesperson for the Near and Middle East.
