Testing The Emberlit Ultralight Titanium Backpacking Wood Stove O31
Many people requested this video so Bison from Bugginin came over with the ManOfMany Thingz and we tested out the Emberlit titanium ultralight wood burning stove.
Bison and I decided to build a fire using only a knife and a ferro rod. Now you may think this is an easy task. But when you consider it has been raining for days and everything is wet, that makes the job a bit more complicated.
It actually took us about an hour to get a fire going. We kept trying different sorts of tinder until we finally found something that would catch a spark and burn. We did not use any man made tinder materials. Only materials from nature.
We will be experimenting in survival and outdoor living more in the future. Fire starting is a very important part of this. Another day we will be using only flint and steel. Yet another time we will take nothing with us and only use what nature can provide.
Once we got a fire going, we transferred it into the Emberlit wood stove and tossed in some small twigs and sticks.
You feed the Emberlit titanium hiking stove through a small opening in the front of the wood cooking stove.
This allows you to feed in longer branches and sticks as they burn inside the stove.
We took a quart of unclean water and filled a pot with it. We placed the pot on the stove to see how long it would take to boil the water.
In just ten minutes we had a good rolling boil in our pot of water. Another eight minutes after that and we had safe, clean drinking water.
The Emberlit titanium wood cook stove is ultralight. This thing folds down and fits in your back pocket. It is so thin when folded down that you do not even notice it in your pocket.
The Emberlit stove is going to be a permanent part of my bug out bag from now on. All you need is this stove. No more carrying around bulky, heavy fuel with you on the trail. Pull out this stove, toss in twigs and you will be cooking a meal in minutes. In the Northern US, there is always a plentiful supply of fuel for this stove. I love it.
