Huge Craigslist Tool Haul And Finishing My Tiny House Flooring

Thursday morning I found a thickness planer on craigslist. When I got there, the man was selling and giving away an entire wood working shop full of tools and equipment. I came out with a car load. In the afternoon I worked on the tiny house floor.

When I arrived to pick up the thickness planer, I was in awe of a fully loaded wood shop. It was stocked with everything imaginable for wood working. The guy was a cabinet maker by trade and his work shop was awesome. I think my eyes nearly bugged out of my head when I was looking around at all the tools.

I got the planer and also a bunch of other tools. I got a Sears Craftsman router which will help me with the framing for my cabinets and some prints I want to finish.

I got a metal lathe which is a dream I always had. This is something I always wanted but could never afford. Now I have an old Sears Craftsman metal lathe. Somewhere I have metal lathe cutting tools. Now I need to dig them out.

I also got two work benches for my work shop.

I got six wood clamps that will help with the making of my kitchen cabinets and shelving in the tiny house on wheels.

I got a bunch of other mixed tools and stuff. And a huge box full of screws and nails of all sizes.

This was an amazing CL haul.

I was gone though from 10:30 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. Somehow driving in NY sucks up your time.

I uncovered the tiny home and was determined to finish the floor this day before it got too dark out.

About half way through the job I found one of my silkie chickens walking up behind me. This is not supposed to happen. Silkies cannot fly so that means it found a hole in the fence. When I turned around, a whole bunch of chickens were out and making their way towards me.

This ended part one of the tiny home flooring project for the day as I rounded up chickens.

Part two follows soon...
