Installing My Tiny House Wood Stove S28

Saturday John came back to help out with the tiny house construction. We worked all day on installing the wood stove in my tiny home on wheels.

In the morning we met up at TSC and picked up the materials we would need to install the wood stove.

It took us the better part of the day just to figure out how this stuff would be installed in my tiny house. The kit I got is for an attic installation but I do not have an attic. So we had to build up a frame around the insulated box to make it sturdy and then hang that from the rafters of my tiny home.

I used an old table saw blade as a pattern to trace out the markings for a hole in the roof of my new house. Then I used a drill to make holes in the ceiling.

I went up on the roof to drill again with a larger drill bit and then used a reciprocating saw to cut out the hole for my new wood stove chimney.

John and I hung the insulated box from the roof of my tiny home and then we mounted all of the stove pipes.

I even installed a damper in one of the stove pipes for better air flow control later on.
