Replacement Solar Batteries And Building My Tiny Home N13

I got my batteries back from Advance Auto and I worked some more inside my tiny house on wheels. I also have something new added to The Off Grid Project.

I am using my laptop on its own battery power now due to severe lack of solar energy at the off grid homestead.

Advance Auto called me and said that the batteries had been tested and five of them were fine. One had a dead short in it.

I went to town to get my batteries. When I got them home though, one felt very hot to the touch. I measured it with my laser thermometer and it was 87 degrees on the side of the case. The other batteries were sitting at 70 degrees. The hot battery was also empty of water. I had checked them before taking them in and they had all been topped off fully.

I called them and explained the situation and they said they would replace that one for me.

The first thing I did was to clean out under the kitchen counter to make space for the battery bank. The golf cart batteries will go under the kitchen counter for now until I get a nice insulated house for them out behind the tiny house.

In the afternoon I used some of the plywood I have laying around and cut some for the middle shelves in my new tiny house kitchen cabinets.

These dropped in nicely. I cut them to size and then cut out notches in the corners to fit around the shelf framing. When I brought them inside, each one easily dropped right into place.

Now I can really start to bring things into the tiny house and get them out of the RV. Mice are seeking shelter in the RV and looking for food. The RV is not at all mouse proof and the tiny house on wheels is. So I have to move all my supplies over the the tiny home asap.
