Using My Tiny Home Loft Study For The First Time

Taking a break in my new off grid tiny home study. After all this work building my tiny home with mostly recycled materials, it sure feels good to sit in my study and relax a bit.

I had a vision about two years ago for a tiny house on wheels. I studied books on framing homes and on using recycled materials for building with. I studied websites and started to gather price quotes from lumber yards. I also started looking around for recycled materials as an option to new lumber.

I built my off grid tiny house framing with new lumber for safety and durability. I also used new insulation. But the rest of my tiny home is mostly built using reclaimed lumber and recycled materials.

I just finished putting the OSB on the walls of my off grid tiny home study. I had a vision for a study where I could sit and relax, pray or read my bible or other study materials. I have finally made that vision a reality.

My antique writing desk sits next to a window. My chair is right under the window so I can look out from time to time and look over my homestead.

I am going to build an entertainment center on the short wall and bring my office upstairs to the study. This will free up the entire downstairs of the tiny house for Melanie. The living room will be a normal living room and not an office.

This will make it better for serving guests when they come over. No more scrambling to move all the office off the table and cram it into corners before guests arrive for dinner.

It feels really good to sit and take a break in my study. It has been a long hard road at times since I lost my job and my home in Jan-Feb of 2013.

But it was worth every bit of it.
