Pallet Wood Bathroom Paneling & The Ultimate Off Grid Alarm System

I was working on the pallet wood bathroom paneling in my tiny house but got interrupted when I discovered that I was suddenly covered in ticks and fleas. There was a dead raccoon in the workshop tent next to me. I had a horrible mess to clean up before I could proceed with work on the tiny house bathroom.

I disposed of the body, which must have died in the night. It was still covered in fat blood sucking ticks and fleas. A bunch of ticks got on me and two fleas visibly jumped on my arm. It was easy to dispatch the ticks but the fleas took me a while longer to catch and kill.

I must have spent half and hour to an hour killing ticks one at a time with my pliers. They were all over the place in my tent waiting for me.

Then I covered the entire area in the workshop tent with diatomaceous earth to kill off anything left behind.

Finally I was able to get back to work on the tiny house bathroom wall. I got a few pallet wood paneling boards up on the wall when I found something interesting during a short break.

I am often uploading videos during the day when the sun is shining. This helps use some of that solar energy and spares the battery at night.

Often when running to and fro I check on craigslist when checking on the status of my uploads. On this day I found something special.

I immediately knew it was meant to be.

I have a lot of raccoons out here in the of grid homestead. I have chickens that need protecting from predators.

I found a Beagle dog for free online. Just waiting for me to take it home. Her owner died a few days ago and she was looking for a new home. Her name is Joy and she is a ten year old purebred Beagle.

I got her doghouse, chain, walking rope, toys, food dishes and food with her.

When I got her home I walked her around a bit and she immediately wagged her tail prancing around chasing the scent of squirrels, chipmunks and raccoons.

She got onto the scent of the raccoon out by the work shop tent and went wild pulling at the leash. I did not want her getting into the fleas and ticks though so I held her back.

Well, by the time I got home it was late and the end of the day at the off grid homestead.
