Wet & Rainy Day At The Off Grid Homestead & No Solar Power

We have had rain for days here now. Nearly a week of constant rain and no sign of the sun. This means no solar power available either.

John and I had moved the solar panels away from the off grid tiny house on wheels so that we could get the IBC tank into the water storage shed. We also angled them better into the winter sun for better solar power production.

But since then I have not seen the sun at all. I am getting a single watt of power from the 1200 watts of solar panels at some times because it is so dark out.

The constant rain and heavy winds have kept me running around stopping things from flying around the property. The wind keeps working at things until it pulls them free and then whips them around the property.

I have also been running back and forth adjusting the water tanks to make sure I get them all filled up to the top. I am now diverting some water to the 275 gallon IBC tote so I can wash it out. It has some algae in the bottom and I want to clean it out nicely before using it on the tiny house rain water system.

I worked inside on the computer for most of the time. I have a lot of website work and programming to do on rainy days like this.
