Strengthening Tiny House Staircase

I spent most of the day cleaning up outside and in the wood shop. I straightened up my tools and shelving. Then I worked a bit on strengthening up the tiny house stairs.

I took in a piece of scrap 2x6 lumber and marked it off on the angles of the staircase.

I used this piece as a template to mark off where to cut my new 2x6 lumber.

These pieces get screwed up tight under each side of the steps on the staircase. This firms up the stairs and prevents creaking as you walk on them.

I ran out of time though and had to leave for a meeting with a friend in town so I only got half of the stairs finished today.

But the wood shop is looking good and I put away all my new tools and hardware neatly onto the shelves. That is a good accomplishment for the day in itself. Now I can work better out there.
