My Car Is Stranded At The Off Grid Homestead

When it rains a lot here my car cannot be driven in the muddy lane leading to my off grid tiny house. The entire land is on a slope so the car slides sideways towards the forest like a hockey puck.

I could get out if I really tried but then I would make ruts in the lane. This is not good and makes things worse for next time. Eventually then you need a tractor to repair the lane.

So I hitch a ride with friends when possible to get into town. I use the old Simplicity garden tractor and a wagon to go out to the main road where I meet a friend. We go from there into town and get supplies.

When I return to the homestead again, I put all my supplies into the wagon and head back to my tiny house using the garden tractor. It handles the mud and slop way better than the car without cutting deep ruts in the mud.

The car would slide sideways like a hockey puck in the mud. It spins round as well randomly on the muddy path when I try to drive in this.

It is better to preserve the lane and just use my good old faithful garden tractor.

This is my third year here and I am just used to this. It is no problem for me anymore. It is just part of life out at the homestead.
