Putting OSB On Tiny House Loft Walls

Working on the off grid tiny home loft study and guest room. I am putting in the OSB sheathing on the walls. Then I will be putting on pallet wood paneling later to finish it off.

I managed to get one good piece of OSB on the walls but life interfered and that was about all I got done. It takes about half an hour to an hour to prepare one board for use. This OSB is from a small engine shop and was used one time as a packing crate for lawn mowers. The wood is clean and perfectly useful. But for one thing. The wood is full of staples which take a lot of work to remove in order to be able to use the OSB in my tiny house construction.

20 of my 275 gallon IBC water tanks were delivered today. It took me a while to get the guys in place where I wanted the tanks and then we unloaded them onto the ground. After they left I neatly put the tanks in place for now. Later I will take them out into the woods in a place I will keep them out of sight.

I will be using the IBC totes this year for rain water cisterns for my off grid tiny home and for aquaponics. The intact tanks will be used for holding fish which Melanie and I will use for food. The tanks with missing lids or valves will be cut in half to be used as grow beds for food. I hope to have food all year round by building an aquaponics system.

I fought with my laptop for over two hours today. This is a new computer and Windows 10 keeps automatically installing updates. The recent update crashes the computer and then I have to do a restore to a previous setting. I was uploading a video when windows wanted to reboot the computer. I fought with it for a long time before I think I managed to stop it.

About 4 hours later though suddenly right in the middle of my work, the computer rebooted with no warning and installed the updates which crash the computer. Every three days I have had to restore the system to an earlier setting due to this update crashing the computer. Win 10 does not allow you to have control over updates anymore.

But I managed to restore the computer and trick it out to not install updates anymore. I set the internet settings to dial up settings which means that Windows will no longer download updates until it sees a wifi connection that is not dial up. I think I finally have control of my computer after two months of battle every three days.

I have guests coming over for Sunday so I have to clean up my off grid tiny home and get the main meal cooked for Sunday. Sadly this means less accomplished on the tiny house.
